Cromwell Tank, 70th annual ceremony Liberation of Antwerp ... with Palau!

The Cromwell Tank was a gift by the British to the city of Antwerp in 1947 to serve as a permanent memorial to the 11th Armoured Division for the Liberation of Antwerp on 4th September 1944.

The refurbished Tank at its new location is officially inaugurated at this year's annual ceremony on 7th September which coincides with the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Antwerp.

In the past this ceremony has been attented by HM Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Andrew and HM King Albert. This year HRH Prince Laurent of Belgium was also present.
